Rates as of 8 August 2026, from Amazon's published fee schedules - full tables and sources in our Amazon FBA fees guide. Apparel and dangerous goods use separate, higher rate cards not modeled here. How these rates are sourced and dated, and what this page does not include, is set out in the methodology and accuracy page.
How much does Amazon FBA cost?
Amazon FBA does not charge one flat percentage. The cost of one FBA sale can include a category-based referral fee and a per-unit fulfillment fee. Storage and other inventory charges depend on the inventory and the services used. Your category, price, size tier, shipping weight, and season determine the estimate, so calculate the product rather than applying a universal fee percentage.
The calculator below covers the fees tied to one sale. Use the 2026 Amazon FBA fee tables for storage rates, exceptions, and Amazon sources. Use the complete FBA profit calculator when you also need advertising, returns, and holding costs.
Amazon fees (per unit)
Your return (per unit)
Advertising, returns, storage, and the cost of your tied-up cash are not in these numbers. A product that clears this bar can still lose money after ads and shelf time - price those in on the FBA profit calculator.
Excludes monthly storage, inbound placement, and other inventory-based fees - see the full fee guide. Fees at exactly $10 or $50 use the $10–$50 rate band. Amazon charges the referral fee on the total sales price, so add customer-paid shipping and gift wrap to the sale price above if you charge for them.
Frequently asked questions
Which fees does this FBA fee calculator include?
The per-sale fees: the referral fee for your category (including tiered categories like Clothing and Electronics Accessories), the FBA fulfillment fee for your size tier and weight at 2026 US rates, the 3.5% fuel surcharge, the $1.80 media closing fee where it applies, and the $0.99 Individual plan fee if selected. Storage and inbound fees are excluded - they depend on inventory volume and time, not on a single sale.
What shipping weight should I enter?
The greater of unit weight and dimensional weight (L×W×H in inches ÷ 139) for most tiers. Small standard and extra-large 150+ lb products use unit weight only.
Are these Amazon's current fee rates?
They're Amazon's published 2026 US rate cards - non-peak and holiday peak - sourced 8 August 2026. Amazon revises fees during the year; confirm in Seller Central before committing to an order. Rate tables and source links are in the FBA fees guide.
How do I get from these fees to my actual profit?
Enter your landed cost and this page takes it off the net proceeds for you, giving profit, margin, and ROI after Amazon fees. Three costs are still missing: advertising, a returns reserve, and storage. The FBA profit calculator adds those and gives you true margin, true ROI, and breakeven ACOS.
Why is the profit here higher than on your profit calculator?
Because this page only subtracts Amazon's per-sale fees and your landed cost. It leaves out advertising, returns, and storage, which is why every row here says "after Amazon fees" rather than "net." Use it to screen a product in thirty seconds; use the FBA profit calculator before you commit to an order. The gap between the two numbers is what ad spend and shelf time actually cost you.
Is this FBA fee calculator really free, and is my product data sent anywhere?
Free, with no account, no API key, and no usage limit. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere: the rate tables are part of the page itself, and the calculation runs client-side in your browser. Your sale price, category, and weight stay on your own device - there is no server to store them on. See the privacy policy for the detail.
